Rumors have been swarming around the Internet, and everything from the title to the plot has been up for debate — until now. Here’s your first look at “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, which broke the news in an exclusive article on its PopWatch blog, “Uncharted 3” will take Nathan Drake to “the Arabian Peninsula and the vast wasteland of the Rub’ al Khali Desert, also known as the Empty Quarter,” where he will be on the search for a lost legendary city. The article also mentions that this iteration of the Uncharted series will focus on the relationship between Drake and mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan.
The game will also feature some new and improved functions, from backward climbing capability to enhanced fighting abilities, and will incorporate motion capture technology. What’s more, according to the PlayStation blog, “Uncharted 3” will support stereoscopic 3-D.
This is likely just the tip of the iceberg of information to be headed our way in the next days. Expect a full trailer and release date to be announced during Saturday’s Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Then watch Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Monday for the first live demo.
